hypothetical situations (just for fun)
ok here are a couple hypothetical situations my psych class did today that i thought were super interesting and wanted to know what others would do as well! feel free to do just one or both, whatever you wanna respond to!
1.) a pregnant woman is leading a group of 5 people out of a cave off the ocean. she gets stuck in the entrance of the cave and blocks their only way out. high tide is approaching soon and if they don't get out they will all drown. the only way the 5 others can survive is if they use a stick of dynamite on the pregnant woman. what do you do?
2.) a trolley loses control & is accelerating down the track without the ability to stop. 5 workers are on the track underneath a bridge (where you are) and do not know it is coming. the only way to save them is to push the rather large man next to you off of the bridge and into the track to block the pathway, killing the man, but saving the 5 workers. what do you do?
yes ik these are flat out crazy hypothetical situations but takin it straight from the paper lmao
