Transfer 1 or 2 embryos in FET??

Question

Anyone else struggling to decide whether to transfer 1 or 2 embryos? I have 3 frozen left and RE gives single embryo (that was frozen, thawed and refrozen) 30% chance of success compared to the other two that are frozen together a 45% chance of success and 20% chance of twins. Not aiming to get twins but I'm conflicted. Husband wants 2, I'm leaning towards 1...

You have to be 100% okay with having twins if you transfer two.  If you're not,  then one is best.

Twins run in my family and I always thought I'd have twins.  I was completely comfortable with having twins,  so we transferred 2. My insurance also has a maximum that they'll cover for IVF so financially it made more sense too. To our surprise one of the embryos split so I was pregnant with triplets! I was completely in shock! Unfortunately the 3rd baby didn't make it, however the other two did and I gave birth to healthy twins last April.

Whatever decision you make you have to be comfortable with it. But in the end the universe or God (whichever you believe in) have a plan for you. Best of luck!

Having just made that choose in January- we opted for a single transfer. We weighed the health risks of carrying twins and discussed it with the OB that would oversee the pregnancy and brought the age factor into the equation. Twins can really stress your body and rather than taking that chance, we opted to go the safer route. Luckily it was successful for us on our 3rd cycle. Best of luck and baby dust to you ladies ❤️

We are having the same struggle. We are using PGS embryos & my RE gave us a 61% live birth chance for my last failed FET (he prefers single transfers)
Thinking about insisting on 2 next time, but just don't know what to do........ I prefer a failed cycle over miscarriage or severely jeapordized preemies with twins, but honestly I just want a baby.......I'd take 5 if they were all healthy.....
