Is this normal @ A Prenatal Visit ?

Today, at 14 weeks, I had my very first prenatal visit. I thought I was suppose to be seeing a doctor to make sure everything is okay... Instead, I went to one nurse who went over paper work with me (she was amazing☺️) and informed me on SIDS and how to lay my baby down in a crib, then about an hour later, another nurse called me, she checked my weight, took a urine sample and put my information into a computer, then, after she was done, another 45 minutes later, I saw a 3rd nurse who took 7 tubes of blood from me, and sent me to the financial lady who helped me get Medicaid (thank the lord) but I thought I was suppose to see a doctor? Where's the Pap smear ? The ultrasounds ? The one on one talks? The questions? I told them I had anxiety over my baby, and they kept telling me everything is fine and that I'll see a doctor in 2 weeks. Is this normal ? Because idk, I thought I'd get all this done at this first visit? Tomorrow I'm going to a 4D picture perfect ultrasound to determine the sex of the baby, but I'm still worried. I have an appointment April 6th to go back to the clinic, but have any of you ladies been through this? Help please

My Dr office was the same way. Just getting things out of the way then second visit you will see the Dr and most likely get a vaginal a ultrasound.

Sounds kinda weird to me and super long. My first appt with both pregnancies was usually a nurse going over medical histories of myself and my husband, then a urine sample, a pap, feeling the abdomen, giving you resources and paperwork for your pregnancy, and then just chatting with the doctor/midwife. Never longer than an hour.
But it depends on the office I guess and it still sounds like they're handling all the important things.

I didnt experience that but maybe the doctor wants the results before seeing you.

Yes its normal. It depends on the doctors office also. My first doctor office did the same thing. But i switched and they did an ultrasound the first time i went. So just depends on the place.
