will I know when my water breaks?

I know this might be silly. I'm wondering if it is a clear like "bam your waters breaking" situation. For example; say me and my husband is asleep and my water breaks. Will it wake me up? What if I'm taking a shower when it happens. I'm so nervous.

Mine broke after I woke up normally and peed like I would every morning. I peed, heard a loud "POP" and a little trickle. No more water came after though. I called the hospital and said, "well, I don't know, but my water might have broken?" So they told me to come in. An hour later on the hospital bed I was GUSHING. It was so gross. And for hours too, it never stopped. My ma, on the other hand, said hers broke and it sounded like fireworks and came out like a waterfall all at once. Mine was crazy loud (in my head anyway) but I really thought I was imagining it since nothing happened after. Most first time pregnancies the doc has to actually break your water for you.

My water didn't break like it does in the movies... it came out a little bit at a time. I thought I was peeing myself 😂 until I took my underwear off and was dripping all over the bathroom floor. I didn't feel a pop or anything and was leaking for hours!

First baby was a huge gush and never did stop gushing. Poor car had to be detailed. Second baby was born encaul (born in the sac and it never did break--best birth ever!). Third baby was a pop and trickle. I went to bed because I was uncertain. In the morning had trickles that were barely noticeable but when we went in and they checked me it had definitely broken. Don't know with the fourth yet. So they are all different.

I actually lost my mucus plug 4 days before my water broke. I kept thinking my water broke after I lost it because I was leaking a watery discharge (sorry tmi) on and off, but it was just a little bit, so I went to triage just to get checked out and they said my water hadn't broke and I wasn't even dilated (I was 37 weeks at this point). 3 days later my water actually did break, inside a restaurant, while my fiancé and I were having dinner (so embarrassing) and believe me, you will know. All of a sudden I felt like I had peed myself but it was like I couldn't stop, it just kept coming and coming. It felt like a huge gush just broke through and I was soaked. So don't worry you will know. I felt the same way you did until it happened. Lol

A lady at work had her waters brake while sleeping she said she woke up feeling like she wet her pants.

I was sitting in the recliner when mine broke and it was like a lot of pressure the whoosh my waters broke. I ran to the shower I had braxton hicks all day at 21weeks but turned out to be real contractions. We lost our little girl 3days later.

On the plus I'm 20weeks 3days with our rainbow and can't wait to be past 21weeks with this little one.

I keep thinking the same... I definitely have more clear/watery discharge but it stays in my vagina (tmi...)   I haven't felt any drips goes down my leg at all... so I'm confused ?? 
I think we'll know because the "waters" will keep coming out no matter what we're doing.... let's hope
