Girl, Google is your friend. Check out the website www.autostraddle.com for all things girl-on-girl culture, and then head over to Facebook to search for a regional Autostraddle group in your area. If you can't find one, Google search for a LGBTQ center near you and check out one of their event nights.
If online friendships are your jam, Tumblr also has a strong queer community. Or you can create an OKCupid account and set the preference to "women only." Start searching around to find people you jive with. Then go on friend dates or hit up queeraoke night! If it's summer, attend a pride parade near you. Once you start looking, you'll find queer community all over the place.
