GLOW REVEALS: DOWN THERE: How bad can pain during sex get?
You want to enjoy sex (who doesn’t?). You've hopefully found a partner who’s actively invested in trying to make you feel really good, so it’s hard when despite their best attempts, sex is not only not pleasurable but feels like your vagina is filled with Legos. Pain during sex is real and it hurts many women more than you would think.
While hundreds of thousands of Glow users report pain during sex at some point in their menstrual cycles, there’s more to the story. More than half of users reported pain during sex that was more of an “Ow!” than an “OMFG! What is happening to my vagina right now?” and around one fifth said that pain during sex felt moderate. A really small percent of users said their pain on the pain scale fell between a 6 and a 10 level of intensity which is pretty high, especially for an act that’s supposed to be pleasurable.
