My sons pediatrician put silver nitrate on his umbilical granuloma and a little bit is on his stomach and won't wipe away. Does it burn him? Is it ok?

They used it on my son as well. And then they used it on my vag to help with healing. It doesn’t burn right away but it’s uncomfortable later.. it’s basically cauterizing it so it will stop overgrowth or to help it heal. Nothing awful though.

No, it doesn't burn. I had to use it on my hands as a child to prevent losing them due to frostbite. Feels just like a cream.

It'll peel away soon. They used it on my son when he got his lip/tongue tie clipped to stop the bleeding. He had a black mouth for about a week but the silver nitrate eventually started to peel.
