Adoption ask me anything

Hi, folks! I'm a third generation adoptee currently TTC while getting ready for a state adoption. I've seen so much disinformation on here about adopting, I thought I would kick this open.

My adoptive father spent 30 some odd years as a social worker, adopted ten of us, fostered 27. My eldest sister is about to adopt her fifth foster child. Two of my older brothers have each adopted two little girls. I fostered neglected children and runaways while I was in college. My uncle is adopted, as are two of my grandmother's siblings.
