3/4 month old Bed routine??

We're usually in the house for 6:30pm but sometimes it's later, we chill downstairs on the couch (I live with my mum) so he has the both of us looking after him... at about 7 he has a small feed and sleeps until about 8/8:30, then is awake until 10, sometimes 11!!!👎🏼 we take him upstairs when he's asleep, and I feel like I shouldn't do this, like I should take him upstairs at 7, but then I'd have a good few hours of awake time with him in the bedroom and I don't want him to think the bedroom is for playing!?!? Help:(
