Our birth story

Ok so finally I have the time to share my first experience so Wednesday January 18,2017 I went to my doctors for a regular check up for the baby at 945am. When I came in the room my blood pressure which was a little high 174/82 . My blood pressure had been up and down the whole pregnancy . The doc came in and told me to go down to triage (er for pregnant women) I went to triage they hooked me up to the monitors . And 3hours after being checked in and checked by my nurses and doctors(regular ob and high risk ob) , they told me that they were going to keep me and induce my labor sometime that evening(Jan 28th) . After sitting and waiting for hours they finally had my room ready (648pm) after getting settled in they started the inducing process by inserting a little pill up my vagina into my cervix to soften it. (7:04pm) got some rest . At 11pm they came in to check me and I was 2cm, they then inserted the balloon to help open my cervix more. I then started to have contractions 🤦🏾‍♀️ they weren't horrible... at first.! At 3am(Jan 19,) they came in to check to see how far I've gotten I was only at 5cm and they left the balloon in because they said it can stay in anywhere between 8-12 hrs ,they said it will either fall out on its own or they would take it out. At 7am I still have made no progression since 5cm. They came and continuously checked me every 4hours . I'm was so hungry and the pain was horrible😩. The balloon fell out at 5:07 pm. They checked me and I was still 5cm and my water had not broke yet and they wanted to give it some time to break on its own before they broke it . The doctor left out with the nurse after they had given me some medicine to kinda make me sleepy idk what it was called I forgot . At 5:45pm in the middle of my conversation with my fiancé it felt lik I was super peeing on myself it felt really weird and funny . I then said to him dooty(nickname his name is Donte) I think my water just broke he checked under the covers and the gown and said yup I think your right then he said it's also some other stuff coming out 🤢 I laughed really hard .!😂 I called my nurse in and she said I did . After the doc checked me I then got up and cleaned myself off along with some help from the mr while the nurse changed the bedding . After I got into bed the contractions became sever . I got the epidural and then received the medicine thru IV to start contracting my uterus . Wasn't painful because the epidural had kicked in a little . At 10pm they checked me and I was only 7cm😩. I fell into I deep sleep felt lik forever but was only an hour they came in at 11:03pm and ask me to turn over because the baby heart rate was dipping . After I turned over and they gave me a little oxygen her heart rate became normal , and I was at 8cm. They lowered the dose of medicine to be on the safer side of things. They said that the rapid contractions were probably stressing her out . I went back to sleep . At 2am Friday morning(Jan 20th) the doctor and nurse came in to check me (I was still half sleep and so was my SO) they then said hey it's time to push your 10cm. I was calm at first until they started getting everything ready I quickly started to panic . They put me on oxygen and my SO was coaching me to breathe . I did some practice pushes before everyone came in and at 2:07 the real pushes started . Being coached by several people at once and practicing with my SO at home they said I was doing very well and to keep going! My fiancé was so hype and encouraging it was amazing ! He was Also sweating lik he was the one having the baby 😂😂lol . Everyone continued to cheer and coach telling me everything they see (I see her head I see her shoulder I see her legs) and at 2:45 am on January 20th my baby girl was born 5lb 15.5oz 19in long Cailyn Dana 💜💓. She barely cried she made a lot of noise and just was staring at her dad it was amazing . He cried it was so beautiful
