Sex Objectification and Male Friends

Liz
Hi, can you help me please?
I'm currently seeking help for sexual assault, where I was treated like a sex object. It caused me severe anxiety and degraded and made me feel that lots of men view women as sex objects on some level.
However, I would like help with a different problem. I am at college where I have mostly male friends and always hang out on an all male floor. The guys always like to play music that talks about "fucking hoes", big asses, big tits, etc. and that makes me a little depressed, especially after what happened (I didn't tell them about the assault). They also like to make jokes about making women sex objects, which I don't participate in. I feel like if I speak up, then they would tell me that I don't have to hang out on their floor although I am their friend. I also feel like that culture is so engrained into their heads that it would be like taking a part away from themselves.
I want to be their friends but it hurts me inside
