Should Glow have the option for private groups?

Should Glow give us the option to create groups where the only way in is to request and be accepted by the group creator?

I dunno, I mean this is a menstruation/ovulation/pregnancy/etc app with a community discussion element, not Facebook. If people feel so strongly about having a private group maybe they should get eachothers contact info and add eachother on another platform.

I think there are times when it's necessary.

Well, the main example I can think of is the group set up for WOC who actively use/used CC.

CC was and is still full of racists, and some are downright vile. And Glow failed more than once to shut down the racists. I truly believe that a safe place was deserved and needed.

In that case, yes. When users are vulnerable to such extremely disgusting attacks like racially motivated ones, then I think the group creator should determine who can/can't join.
