when to start taking it?

so i got a few boxes of BC back in early march, and they're currently sitting at the bottom of my medicine cabinet. i've never used BC before and this is going to be my first time... when should i start taking the pills—the first day of my period, right after my cycle is done, or does it not matter when i start?

It depends on the type. Some you start when you start your period, others you start the first Sunday after you start your period. Read the pamphlet it comes with or talk to your doctor or pharmacist about it.

I started mine the first Sunday after my period started. It's called a Sunday start. It's really nice because you won't get your period during the weekends! 👌🏾

my pharmacist said if u take it the sunday after your period starts you wont have a period on a weekend after u regulate.. i started mine the sunday before i started my period tho
