Boobs Hurt

So I stopped taking birth control two months ago. Before I started taking it and the whole time while I was taking it I never had any symptoms hardly ever. I'm supposed to start my period within a few days and my nipples hurt so bad when they're touched. Even just rubbing up against covers and what not. Is this dramatic change so normal, and is it normal for them to hurt this much?
