SHOULD I SEE A NEW DOCTOR?????
*****LONG BUT PLEASE READ*****
I had a positive pregnancy test after missing my period at the end of February - beginning of March. I just moved from Texas to Oklahoma so I didn't have an OBGYN yet. I found a dr with 5 stars in my network and proceeded to make an appointment. The apt was scheduled for two weeks later, I still had in my implanon birth control so I was getting that removed, along with a pap and an exam to see how far along I was. Before the apt, I had some really heavy bleeding for 2 days then it stopped, my dr said to go to urgent care because he couldn't get me in so late in the day. So I went, they told me I had had a complete miscarriage. My heart was completely broken (this was MC #2) but I kept my apt so I could get my implant out and my pap done anyway. My dr examined me and said I was about 8 weeks along, I asked him if he was sure and he said yes. He ordered an emergency ultrasound for the next morning. My husband and I were so happy that we hadn't actually lost the baby! I go to the imaging center the following morning, we were so excited to see our little baby :) the lady turned the screen away from me and did an internal ultrasound, my husband followed the monitor around and said he couldn't see anything. The lady told us she wasn't allowed to tell us anything and to go back to my Drs office for the results. I got no pictures nothing!!! So we go to the office for my dr to tell me 1 of 3 things were happening 1) ectopic pregnancy 2) I was getting ready to miscarry 3) I was having a healthy pregnancy I just wasn't as far along as he had projected .... Ok. I go get my blood work done so he can monitor my pregnancy hormones. He calls me the next day with the results. COMPLETELY NEGATIVE. There was no baby after all, I HAD had a miscarriage when urgent care said I had the first time. I guess my question is, why would he put me on such an emotional roller coaster ? Should I find a new doctor ?
