republican hypocrites 🙄

We used to pride ourselves on giving the shirt off our backs for anyone in need. Now we're letting INNOCENT CHILDREN and their families die because we can't stop talking about "vetting" what the motherfuck is vetting?? Do you even know? We have the most advanced military in the world and you think we don't have a good enough plan to take in innocent refugees and keep out terrorrists? Stop using fear of terrorism to disguise your ignorance and prejudice. 

We love to tell people not to get pregnant but don't want to offer affordable birth control. We love to tell people not to abort but we have either absurdly priced or shitty maternity care. We want to cut programs that allow struggling new mothers to feed their babies and we don't have good maternity leave options for mothers who are working. We don't take care of these children once they're born and we've even argued that we should cut or make children work for free school lunches. You're not fooling anyone, you just want to perpetually punish women for having sex.

AND I AM SO DAMN SICK AND TIRED OF HEARING "but my taaaaaxes". If you're fine with paying a bajillion dollars a year to fund new military toys than you can shut the fuck up about .75 cents of your money going to a family struggling to feed their children. The amount of people who abuse welfare is so statistically insignificant. And you know what? I'm fine with giving money to a couple scammers if it means thousands of children get to eat when otherwise they would go hungry. Shame on you if you would rather cut programs and screw over the thousands of people struggling to get by just to spite a few individuals who abuse the system.
