10 Day Period

Hi! So I got the Nexplanon implant (my second one) in my arm March 16th. Then got my period 4 days after and it's still going. I'm on day 10. It's lighter but this is frustrating. I just want it to end. I'm 17 and didn't tell my mom about it because she doesn't like the idea of me being active but she was there for the first implant and when I got it removed. I think this is normal considering I didn't have my period for about 2 years with the first implant then had 3 periods and got this new implant. Anyone else experience this or had advice? This is a looong period. (I've had sex with my boyfriend 3 times during this as well which is supposed to make it end quicker. But it's still going. And it's frustrating I can't talk about it with my mom because I tell her literally everything minus these things.
