IUD advice?

Question

I'm getting an iud tomorrow and am a little nervous. Does anyone have any advice? Or would like to share their experience?

Got my IUD today and holy shit is the cramping bad. Had to have my fianceé drive me home from shaking and being dizzy. But at least it lasts 5 years so no worries until 2022!

When they first put it in you'll probably get like a bad cramp but they should put some numbing gel in first to ease it a little. When I had mine put in they had to take it out and put a smaller one in, didn't really hurt but just be aware they might have to change it. I had some cramps for about a week but nothing bad, and I had spotting on and off for a few weeks but it wasn't heavy.

It's really not that bad. I know that if someone has had a baby compared to someone who hasn't the experience can differ. I got mine after having my son and it wasn't bad took like five at most felt a pinch and what felt like a period cramp that was it. My sister has one she hasn't had any kids yet she said it really didn't hurt was uncomfortable but nothing she couldn't handle pain wise.
