I make significantly more money than my husaband and he's never had an issue with it. He's told me it makes him proud to have a wife who didn't necessarily need him but chooses him everyday.

I've been thenprimary breadwinner for 9 years. My husband is finally going to kick my ass by the end of the year with his new job and I'm so proud of him.

We are a team. We've always worked together as a team. It doesn't matter who brings home more, we have always both been contributing.

That being said, I think my husband is very proud that he is finally meeting and beating my pay though. Even though he was perfectly fine with me making more, I think he feels more like a man when he can make more. Silly man stereotypes

I think if your SO is bothered by that it has to be an insecurity issue.

My husband is a stay at home dad. I love it and so does he for the most part. He can't work due to his back and it actually bothers him more than me. It's 2017 and bills get so high that I don't care where the money is coming from as long as there is food in my kids belly and a roof over their heads.
