no baby in sac?

Question

Has anyone been to an ultrasound and seen a sac but no baby, no heartbeat, absolutely nothing?

If so, what was your outcome and how far along we're you? I'm worried I'm going to miscarry.

They told me maybe conception happened but implantation didn't. Hoping next week we see a little baby in there!

I was supposedly 5 weeks 6 days but according to my period I should actually be 7 weeks 3 days. Not sure if that's a big difference

I wrote asking about this same exact topic. I went in at 6wks and only a sac, no fetal pole or yolk sac. Was told to go back 10days later and u/s showed baby and
 ❤️beat. Sometimes you can be earlier than you think.

Yes. At my 4 week and 6 day scan. My 7 week scan showed a baby and heartbeat. Don't worry too much, baby will show in a week or two.

There are 2 possibilities, #1 you're not as far as you thought and baby will develop in a week or 2.....
#2 a blighted ovum, no baby will grow just an empty sac, which may or may not pass naturally. If it doesn't you'll need a D&C. Fingers crossed you end up with possibility #1. Baby dust to you!

Not to be debbie downer ..but I just went thru this ... 7.5 week scan showed gestational sac and yolk... no fetus ... went back at 10 weeks and the sacks had gotten smaller and no fetus .. called it a missed miscarriage... I had to have a D&C a week ago and going to try again in 2 days ! Good luck to you and baby dust !!!
