breastfeeding is not a contraceptive I don't know what silly person said it but it has confused so many mums! I breastfed every 1 hour with my first and my period came back within 6weeks!

Unless you're nursing every 3 hours or more frequently, yes. My midwives said it only works as birth control like that, if you're going more than 3 hours between feeds, you're not safe, and pumping doesn't send the same message to your body that nursing does. I did that for a month or two before making Hubby but condoms 😂 I'd rather need condoms than wake up every 3 hours 🙄
