What is the best age gap between siblings and why?

My sisters and I are all 3 years apart, and I thought it worked well. We were close enough in age that we could still be friends, but far enough that we only had one year of high school together, which I thought was nice.

My girls r 3 yrs apart and they are best friends. I find this perfect bc they t close enough to be friends but far enough to have own set of friends.

Me and my brother are 15 months apart and had same friends and at one point he dropped out of high school and came back and was in same grade and we never got along n it was miserable. So wanted a chance at kids being friends but also wanted them to have own friends.

Although I'm now pregnant and this child will b 9 yrs younger then oldest and 6 yrs younger then youngest. So pretty big gap but thought I was done.

I'd say 2 years because they would have a great bond. My brother is 2 years younger than me and we were always close, and my sister is 3 years older and we were never close. So from my personal experience, i think they would have a better relationship. BUT that being said, I've never had kids that close in age so it may be more difficult as opposed to a 3 year difference when the older child will be more independent. I think 2 would be better if you can handle it!

We started ttc when our daughter was 22 months, we got pregnant 8 months after. My daughter will be 3 less than a month before her brother will be born lol. I hope they get along well. I didn't want anymore children until my daughter was 18 months, I started entertaining the idea of another baby.

My brother and I are 3 almost 4 years apart, we always got along good. My husband and his sister are 13 months apart and still fight all the time now as adults. I personally want to wait till my daughter turns 2, before trying for a second child. Mainly because of all the health risks associated with back to back pregnancies and also because I just want to enjoy the special bond with my daughter a little bit longer.

My hubby and I started trying when my daughter was 3 so they could be almost 4 years apart and my daughter is 6 going on 7 now and we're still having fertility problems and not being able to get prego!! 😫 we found out I was prego on Christmas Eve and had a mc on January 5th so we're hoping that this is our month. I test in 2 weeks and I pray we get our healthy baby and healthy pregnancy we've been waiting for so long!!
