I gave birth 5 days ago and I have been getting little red blood clots but today I seen this black big blood clot. It's this normal??

Was told if they are larger than a ping pong ball  - 3 or more to go in. Other wise it's normal - I think I passed my last huge clot at like 7 weeks pp!

Seems normal to me. I gave birth once and a month ago I had an early miscarriage and had exactly that same blood cloths. My obgyn told me to think of it as an extensive cleaning the uterus is doing.

Really keep a close eye on how much your bleeding. If it continues to be heavy or clots like this you should probably go in to double check there is no placenta left behind.

You are probably passing staff that was left behing. If you start having or cramping you need to get it checked out.

The only time you should worry about clots is if they're the size of a baseball. That looks normal
