My baby girls
I had shared with you all that on September 1st I had a positive test after trying for 5 years. At 13 weeks I found out it was twins and both girls! We were overjoyed. However, over Thanksgiving I got a kidney infection along with a UTI. They checked the babies at the hospital and both were fine. I took an antibiotic for 5 days and thought I was good to go. On Dec 23rd I went in to preterm labor, and was already dilated a 3 when I got to the hospital. My Dr told me my water had already broke and there was nothing they could do. In three hours I went from a 3 to a 10 and delivered my healthy baby girls at 9:10pm naturally. My first, Adrielle, was born 1/2 pound deceased, and Adrienne came right after at a pound, and died in my arms. After much testing my Dr told me that it was due to the infection I had. Unfortunately it had already reached its way to the sacks through the umbilical cord, and they were sick. I had no clue but there was no way of knowing. My husband and I have never experienced such loss in our lives, and felt so helpless. I do thank God for getting us through this trial that we are still getting through daily, and giving us such peace I've never experienced. I thank God for the 5 months he gave me with my girls, and for every kick and even every contraction I felt. I will never forget my girls and will always thank God for them. What gives me the most hope and peace is knowing I will see my girls again, and that they are without pain in the arms of my Savior.
