What do I do or say?

I'm pregnant, 21 weeks, my husband says he not excited, when I ask him, but that he's not disappointed either. He doesn't care about anything baby related really... I just feel so alone and like this baby is unwanted (on his part). This was a planned pregnancy and he kept up with my ovulation days, so I'm just not sure what the problem is. 
Has anyone else's SO felt this way but later changed when the baby got here, what did you do?

Men don't see this the way we do. THe closer it gets to time he may become more excited. But until there is an actual physical being he can hold it just isn't the same as it is for us. But when he holds that little baby his heart will melt and you won't be able to contain him.

I read off the milestones on this app to my husband every week and he doesn't really care.  He told me the other day he will be excited when he can actually hold our baby.  It doesn't even feel real to me yet since I'm only 15 weeks and haven't felt it move yet nor do we know what we're having.

If your pregnancy was planned I'll bet his excitement will come once it feels "real".  Might even take until the baby is born.

The fact is that you are feeling alone in this. That's not alright. Excusing men for not being supportive is wrong. They can still love their partner and support their partner through their fear or apathy.
I recommend trying to speak with him again. If that fails, seek counselling to help you with the feelings of abandonment you are feeling due to his lack of love and support for you and baby.
It will eat at you. It's very hard to forgive months of feeling alone and abandoned. Even if he's able to do an about face once baby arrives, the hurt you feel will not just disappear.

It could be because he doesn't have that bond with the baby yet, you have a stronger bond you feel everything, it's inside of you, he might not even be able to feel baby move yet. It could just be the emotional bond is not there yet for him. Good luck I hope he comes around.

My husband was disappointed at first, then he was no longer disappointed but simply disinterested in having baby #6. But now that I'm 20 weeks and we found out it's a boy (we already have 5 girls), he's kind of showing a small amount of interest.......so I take it one day at a time and just hope that when he sees our son then he will fall in love with him just the way I have.
