What are the chances it's wrong??

If I got an ultrasound done at 17 weeks and they said it looked like a girl what are the chances that they're wrong?? I really want to start buying things but I'm so paranoid it might not be a girl!!

At 17 weeks you should be good to go. The doctor will confirm I'm sure at your 20 week scan.

There's a tiny chance it could be wrong. I guess you could wait and do another test around 30 weeks. Right? We're doing stuff like painting the room and whatnot, gender neutral. By that, I mean, an easy on the eye green with everything else green.

Here is my ultrasound at 16+5 and they said it was a  girl. They said from 16 weeks onwards it's 99% accurate 😊

If you are worried request an ultrasound between 20 and 22 weeks for greater accuracy! 17 weeks though is usually far enough along to get a good reading but ultrasounds aren't 100% foolproof.

Not sure if this will help or not but here's a comparison for you. My son is obviously on the left lol. I'm now 30 weeks with a little girl and had the first ultrasound done at 16 weeks. Usually around then they are pretty accurate but of course there's always a possibility it's wrong.

I had my gender scan at 17 weeks and said it was a girl and she's still a girl at 37 weeks.

Your doctor should tell you, when I found out, at 13 weeks, the lady told me she was 98% sure(lol) but to wait to buy anything and then it still ended up being a boy, confirmed by three different ultrasound techs.
