35w5d apt!

Today I had what was technically my 36 week check up. He did the GBS swab, and checked my cervix for the first time. He told me baby was completely engaged, 100% effaced and I'm 1cm dilated, then told me to go to L&D if I have any regular contractions, bleeding or gushes of fluid.

I know dilation doesn't indicate how long you have left, but I'm kinda hoping this means I'll go into labor soon! I didn't dilate with my first until 38 weeks. Has anyone had the same news, and went into labor soon after?
