"shouldn't you be drinking decaf?"

I was just at Dunkin getting a coffee and that's what an employee asked me..in front of a line of customers. Isn't that rude?! I was so embarrassed.

I was buying a chocolate bar one time (I was 9 months pregnant and just needed it) and the cashier said "you really shouldn't be eating that". I'm a healthy person. Was at a healthy weight (lost all my baby weight within two weeks of my son's birth) and I was SHOCKED that someone could be so rude. I looked and her and said "you're really going to tell a woman who is 9 months pregnant that she shouldn't be eating a candy bar?!"

Decaf can actually be worse for you than regular coffee because of the process they use to get it that way. Don't take garbage from strangers!! What a rude person.

In their own twisted way they were just concerned for you. Or just plain curious. Id have just smiled and said "actually that is a myth. Pregnant women are allowed a certain amount of caffeine per day, and this has less than that!" Or the much easier "oh it isn't for me. It's for my husband (or literally anyone else you can think of), I am just in charge of the coffee run today"

That's ridiculous! I would have totally made some nasty comment back and been sure to say you can have 200mg of caffiene a day! I go to Starbucks all the time for cappuccinos and I think I'd lose it if anyone ever made that comment to me!
