Gyno?

Me and my mom aren't really close eneough to talk about stuff like this so I'll ask on here. I'm 15. What's my situation with the gynocologist. When should I go for the fist time (I'm not sexually active and don't plan on being until I'm married) What will the first appointment look like? What will the second appointment look like? Does my mom have to be in the room? What if the gynocologist is a man? What if I'm on my period?

Seeing a gynecologist isn't necessary until you are 21 unless you have been, are currently or will be in the very near future sexually active.

You can always choose your Gyno! So If you feel more comfortable with a female Dr. you have options to choose I just recently had my first gyno appointment (in September 2016) and I was nervous, the doctor explained everything and made sure I was comfortable & if you don't feel comfortable with your momma being there she can always step out of the room while your being examed or she can just wait in the waiting area

Unlike some people on here saying you dont need to until you plan on being sexually active or are of a certain age im going to tell you something doctors have told myself, my family and friends 
If you think something is wrong down there get it checked 
If you want to see if youve got any medical issues that you wouldnt notice by self analysing then get it checked 
Personally i think the males are better as they seem to be more gentle, the females seem to think that cause vaginas can take alot of stretch etc that they dont have to be so careful
And you NEVER go when on your period haha
Go at any age you feel comfortable but shop around first 
Just talk to them and see if youre comfortable with that person first
