Second Period post D&C?

I started my period a full week later than what's my norm. My first period post D&C was pretty normal. My ultrasound didn't show anything abnormal. I'm having the worst cramps of my life this time around, almost like contractions, although the blood is not heavy enough to indicate hemorrhage or anything. Is this normal? Did your cycle return to normal after a few months? I'm just looking for insight. Thanks!
