Private Person

Just wondering about other people's take on this. I am a private person I don't feel the need to expel every little thing about myself including family. Now don't get me wrong I do tell them somethings but I always believe to keep things to yourself is less complicated. Especially love life, finances and your next move. They have issues with this because well they are more free telling and me not so much. They consider me off, different and that I don't vibe with the rest of the family basically saying I'm the black sheep. 

What do you all think? Is being private such a bad thing or in today's world we do need to keep somethings dear to our hearts.
