Hunger vs Overly tired Cues
My LO just turned six weeks today. During the night it is pretty easy to know she wakes up to feed. However during the day sometimes it's hard to distinguish between her being hungry or overly tired. I did not see any of the signs such as rubbing of the eyes, rooting or smacking of the lips. During the day she takes cat naps and will wake up and cry. She always gets to the point where she is crying nonstop, sometimes she will calm down a little bit but at that point she is already upset. If I can't calm her down after about 10 minutes and get her to take another nap I will end up feeding her but I'd like to be able to feed her when she's hungry instead of me trying to guess. Anyone else having the same problem? Are there other signs I should look for?
