Infant carrier recommendations?

We just found out we're having a little boy! So now it's time to start our registry. What is everyone's favorite infant carrier? Pros and cons of different ones? ☺️

I love my Ergo Baby! We have the infant insert and she snuggles right in. Usually falls asleep! But I find it fairly easy to put on and take off (the back clip can be a little tricky), and it's comfortable!

We have an original ergo and love it. It honestly took me months of playing with it and pissing off baby to get everything right, but now we're all very comfortable with it and it's great! I love that there's a clip and no tieing involved. I've never thought it was too hot but Hubby wears him most of the time 😂 we also got ours for only $50 from eBay, still in the packaging and everything, just an ugly design 😂

We didn't get much use out of the infant insert. It was very bulky and I just couldn't figure it out. Hubby used it but once we decided to take it out baby was much happier!

I love the Ergo I got 5 years ago, it is a tad warm even being the sport model. My eldest still uses it from time to time and loves it. #2 not so much absolutely hates the Ergo, but the little tornado doesn't like being 'stuck' as a general rule anyway. I used a hot sling with my first as well, but LO outgrew it by 3 months and it wasn't my favorite, hubby really liked it though.  Got a mobi wrap with the last one which I found awesome for breastfeeding on the go. Used it almost exclusively during maternity leave when I was out and about, but preferred the Ergo if it was going to be a longer trip for weight distribution. They get too heavy for the mobi to be comfortable fairly quickly as well I think.  Haven't decided if I'll try other ones with #3. I guess it depends if I find an interesting one at the kids consignment store.

I would recommend staying away from most forward facing carriers, since most don't provide the proper hip support and have been associated with hip dysphasia.

You could always try a local babywearing group.  They usually have different carriers you can borrow.  I love my kinderpacks but everyone is different.
