bleeding on the pill

On my last pill of the month today and I'm cramping really bad and was bleeding. Anyone know what's up? I haven't missed a pill and I've been taking them at the same time. And I haven't done anything without a condom. I'm supposed to go off the pill today for a week so I just wanted to know what's up. My period is supposed to start in a few days so maybe it has something to do with that? Before I was on the pill a month ago I used to get small cramping days before my period. Is this similar ?
