Advice? Second C-section is set for May 8th!

My first C-section was an emergency and that was 3 years ago.. I will be having a planned c-section this time.. Any advice?

I just had my second c section, first was a emergency as well. I was nervous for the second one but my doctor told me less risk for any complications. Everything went well and I was up and walking the next day! Take your time, get some rest and good luck!

I don't know how different it will be from an emergency but take your pain meds religiously and your stool softners. Also try to get up and walk asap. They took my catheter out 7 hours after my surgery and I started walking soon after. It's so important to walk. Have meals at home ready to eat. Crockpot. Meals from a restaurant. Anything. It was so easy to have those ready and able to eat.

Had my second C close to two years from each other. Must say this one healed much faster than the first. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

Its less scary then an emergency c section..ask for a abdominal binder it helps with pain..i just had my 3 c section on March 6.Good luck

I can tell you that it is much smoother than an emergency c-section.  I just had my second c-section on the 21st of March and it was wonderful.  Hoping yours goes just as smoothly!! 😊
