She has reflux so 10+ minutes, sometimes more.

Depends.  I usually burp for 2-5 minutes or u too he gives me a nice big burp or big exhale.  Then I put him down and watch to see if he gets fussy (if so, I pick him up and burp him again).  So far no issues and he is now 5 weeks.
