When to Announce?

I kinda don't want to tell anyone anything...like till the baby is here..but I know that won't work and hubs already told both our families (they weren't thrilled...). So how long did you wait to tell people about your pregnancy?

We told close friends and family but never made a public social media announcement and I'm 22 weeks now. I don't plan on announcing officially but I'm starting to look obviously pregnant to where I ran into old friends at the store and they congratulated me and asked how far along I was. I'm ok with people finding out that way rather than me posting anything on FB

This is my second pregnancy and I'm 20+2 and I've only told my fiance and boss. Due to my current living situation I don't want to tell anyone. I currently live with my parents my younger sister and my older sister who is also currently pregnant with her first (she's around 28/29 weeks) and her fiancé. I moved back in when I had to leave college when I got pregnant with my first two years ago and my fiancé hasn't had any luck finding a job even with his bachelors degree in finance. Me and my mom don't have the greatest relationship and that's the main reason I don't want to say anything besides stealing any of the light from my sister with her first pregnancy.  Although I really want to tell everyone else I'm close to like my aunt and cousins and best friends I can't. I don't want to risk it. So I'm dead set on being out of the house before this baby comes so I might just announce it when he arrives.

I wanted to wait until 12 weeks to tell anyone, including family but my husband was going to explode if we didn't tell people sooner. So we told family at 6 weeks, and made the announcement on social media at 8 weeks.

I couldn't wait. I announced at 9w 4d. All our family knew right away, but to social media it wasn't until then. I think the next one I'll announce when we know the gender.

First time we told them at about 5 weeks. Wanted to share the joy, and if something were to happen, we could lean on them :) there's no right or wrong answer here 😊
