Should teens be allowed to obtain birth control without parents consent?

Because not allowing your children to get on bc isn't going to stop them from having sex, it's just making it less safe for them and putting them at a higher risk of teen pregnancy.

I think once you're old enough for a period, you should be able to put yourself on bc. I know that it seems way too young for them to be having sex, and it is (under like 16 imo). But, once they get a period, they can get pregnant. So, they should be able to obtain bc on their own at whatever point they feel fit. I know 12 and 13 year olds who are pregnant because they couldn't get bc alone. They shouldn't have been having sex, but they were and now they have complicated pregnancies and have changed their lives completely without even realizing what they were getting into.

Because if they have to go through parents they may not get it because many parents think "no bc no sex" in reality no bc is less safe

Because we should be realists. Do we want our kids out there having sex? Prob not but is it going to happen? Prob so! 
 It would significantly reduce the number of  unwanted preganancies and the benefits from that would continue to trickle down in many areas. 
I wish my mother had been more open to discuss options.
