Is Petco's training classes for puppies worth it ?

I did it at pet smart which I'm assuming is very similar.  A lot of it depends on the trainer.  I got lucky and got one that had trained for akc competitions. Usually the older women that do it are better than the inexperienced teenagers.

It was good for my puppy to socialize and was a great start to get him to learn how to walk on a leash without pulling at an early age since he's 55lbs now and hasn't stopped growing yet. For the price it's good. But then on the other hand it may or may not work for all dogs, the style of training/methods they use. My other dog who we got from a shelter when she was 2, didn't do well with this at all.

Here's my puppy, well 9 months old now. He's doing great.

My aunts golden retriever puppy is much better since the classes.  She wasn't allowed around small children at first because she was so out of control (she plays rough) but now she's much gentler and is allowed out with them

We are doing Petsmart, but I imagine they would be pretty similar. I definitely recommend the training classes. They are basically training YOU on how to train your dog, which is great because you can use that knowledge for any subsequent dogs in your future.

I didn't need the first set of classes for my puppy as we already taught her the basics... sit, lay, stand, stay, ect.... but the second set of classes really help as its more advanced. You can look on YouTube for easy ways to teach your puppy the basics which they can learn ASAP... my puppy was 5 weeks when she had all the basics down.
