Where to put infant car seat?

This might be a dumb question. Infant car seat, rear passenger side or rear driver side??

I always place mine in the middle. I think its much safer there.

My husband actually took a week long class about installing car seats and he said the middle is best. But if you can't put it there then put it on the passenger side so if you have to parallel park you aren't going to take the baby out on the street.

We put ours rear behind passenger because my husband couldn't put the driver seat back all the way with it there.

Depends on the size of your car too. My friend drives a civic and she has to put it in the middle because then her teenage son can sit up front. Otherwise the rear facing takes up too much space.

Middle or rear passenger I'd say. Middle is safest. Passenger allows you to glance behind real quick and see how they're doing in the reverse mirror thing more easily

Studies say it's 43% safer to put your child in the middle than side possibly due to side air bags in newer cars and side crashes. Are you a horrible mom if you put your baby on one of the sides? No. I have an 11 month old and moved his seat because I couldn't lift him and reach into the middle anymore... plus I have another car seat to install now as well. It's just safer in the middle and honestly I feel like it's a bigger deal if you properly strap your child in or not.

I do the rear driver side, my 5 year old sits on the rear passenger side and my older 2 sit in the third row. It's what works best for drop off for the kids.
