when do babies wear shoes?

I want to buy converse and sandals...when can a baby wear these? Certain age? Or just whenever

I'm not buying my baby any shoes til he can at least walk. As for dressing him up it's so addicting to do so😭  I might be tempted to buy 2 shoes for his little outfits I got him one black and white but he's gonna be in booties most of the time, or socks. If you want to make him look dressy just get Nike, Jordan, converse booties😍

It depends! Your baby can wear shoes and still not walk so it's just for fashion. Most babies I know have started walking from 10 months old to like 14 mo this old. I would do a little research because babies need soft soles when they start walking, and when they become pros hard soles shoes and ankle shoes would be better to buy!

My daughter was born in July and was barefoot until late August early September. We live in Canada so it gets very cold in the winter. When we were going out she'd wear booties and such. She didn't have proper hard bottomed shoes until the following spring. So close to a year, when walking, crawling and cruising. Even then she was only in shoes when we were out.

Prolly once they start walking like 8-10 months. If you buy them before then they won't have a use even when they start crawling because the are so easy to come off. So when they start to stand try then

Whenever but with my daughter we found to wait till she walked to pit shoes on her unless going out only cuz they were off by the time I got the other shoe on.  She wanted to be barefooted or with socks only.
