Why would u skip it? It takes literally 2 seconds.  They slide a paper on Ur vagina and anus. That's the whole test. If it comes back positive u will be given antibiotics at delivery.  If not,  all is good

It's mandatory and not getting it would be stupid and putting yourself and your baby at risk

Pretty sure its mandatory. It doesn't affect you, it affects the baby. They need to know whether or not to give you antibiotics....

Why would you not get it? It doesn't hurt and literally just swabs the barest inside of your vagina and your butt hole.  You would rather risk getting your baby sick? Seems a little silly. But each to their own.

I would suggest getting it done. Im in Australia and its offered at 37 weeks.

You would be wise not to skip it. If you don't get the antibiotics during delivery you risk your baby getting it and it turning into meningitis ..... I didn't know it wasn't mandatory

You should definitely get tested when they ask. You could have it and have no idea and the. You wouldn't get the needed antibiotics and could harm the baby. Always best to be safe
