not into baby food?

My girl will be 6 months on the 18th. She's shown so much interest in eating so I went ahead and gave her food. She doesn't seem to like anything abd won't eat much of it because she would rather nurse. Anyone else?

My son is exactly the same way. He turned 6 months on the 13th. He loves nursing so I'm not too worried about the food yet but I plan to ask the doctor about it at his check up on Tuesday.

My son doesn't care for it. We only do it once a day unless he isn't having any part of it then we try again later but he fusses the whole time. It's suppose to be fun and just getting him trying new textures and flavors so I'm not pushing him. We're just going to keep trying at a slow pace until he is ready to do more.

Same! She'll take a bite with a horrible face but does it some! Maybe two spoonfuls max .. my ped said I should be starting the routine of going for 3 meals a day? But I feel like that's just so early ... anyone else? This is the same ped who I had to beg for steroid cream when my daughter was literally tearing the skin off of her cheeks from eczema so we won't be going her much longer 😡

Same with my LO he makes this crazy face every time haha but sometimes he'll gobble it right up. I'm not too worried I just keep trying I think they just have to get used to it!!

it's new textures and flavors, and a whole new way of using their mouth.   that it's not what's familiar for baby is probably what is disliked. At least that's what I suspect is going on anyway, my baby didn't seem to like it much either but as baby food has become a part of her routine (one small meal per day) she's grown more enthusiastic  and I think more confident about the experience of eating food.

My LO turned 6 months yesterday so e tried sweet potatoe, she looked so shocked and interested as if she knew it was food but as soon as it touched her tongue she almost hopped, went red etc... my friend said her LO was the same with it so tried carrot, we hope to try that today, fingers crossed
