Pregnancy after labour??

Question

How soon after giving birth can you become pregnant? I've read all sorts of things from 6 weeks to straight after, just curious to know what others have been told I'm pretty sure it's straight after right??

My mother has cousins who are 9 months to the day apart.   Their father was a raging alcoholic and raped his wife in the hospital hours after giving birth to the older one.

Immediately after is possible! You're super fertile after giving birth. You should also wait until 6 weeks after giving birth to have sex to give your cervix time to close.

You are very fertile just after birth, but it's not good to get pregnant so soon. You should wait 6 weeks to even have sex, unless approved by a doctor.

Usually it happens after your period returns to normal...but that wasn't the case for my mother, she conceived me 2 months after giving birth to my sister. You can ovulate without your period returning...it just not be as common.
