is this serious or normal??

I lost my virginity on Thursday and we eased into it like you are supposed to when it's your first time.  I started spotting yesterday (Saturday) at work. it's not a lot  and it just looks like that brown stuff that you have when you are ending your period but I have NEVER spotted before so it kinda freaked me out. I am still spotting today as well. Is this normal??
