STD's HELP!!!!!

I need your opinion/help with this issue. My husband has genital herpes and this has definitely change our lives forever. I feel so devastated!!! We have no sex life because of this and my dreams of having kids with him are shattered!! :'( how is it possible to get pregnant without being infected?? I'm so sad and completely heartbroken. Is it possible to continue a "normal" sex life,  and be able to have a family when you are at risk of also getting it? I don't know what to do!!! Any advice?
