I didn't truly realize how common it is until I got pregnant. I have already been shamed multiple times and I'm not even halfway through my
pregnancy yet! I've been shamed for craving junk food and eating said cravings, for not getting enough exercise (kinda hard to when you have a pinched nerve in your hip), for wanting a pain med-free birth, planning to vaccinate, and because I am going to try really hard to breastfeed. I know some don't see it as shaming but IMO- if you're making someone feel bad about their choices (as long as they aren't harmful) or like they won't be able to do something, then that is shaming. If you agree that it is an issue, what do you think we could do about it? I can't imagine how it makes women with PPD feel 😕
