Im so confused

Me and this boy have a complicated background we use to date for over a year but I wasn't suppose to be dating so I ended up getting caught and we had to break up and we still have feelings for each other...I guess. Like we sneak around to see each other and do things that couples do but the last time we hung out we were kissing and I would start off into it but then it got to a point where it was just kissing but when we were playing and and cuddling I felt that connection to him. Idk if I was just having an off day or what but I do love him and have strong feelings for him I just don't know. And thoughts or opinions that could help?
