2 week old teething?

My LO is 2 weeks and 2 days old. He's been extra fussy the last two days and wanting to nurse but once he starts lets go and throws a tantrum. This went in from 2-6am last night. Could he be teething? I keep checking for white spots in case of thrush but nithing. Idk what's going on. Help

Probably just a growth spurt. Try swaddling, white noise, calming bath, skin to skin, dark quiet room. You can also hold baby while bouncing on an exercise ball. Don't worry it'll pass. Put baby to breast as much as possible

2 weeks is CRAZY early to be teething. It might be your let down is too much for him; gas; latch isn't good; he's not hungry; he's gotta poop. Try to pump or self express a little before feeding him and see if that helps; try some Mommys Bliss gripe water before and after feedings (or one or the other) along with bicycle legs and burping

Chewing is not a sign of teething, it's a developmental milestone where baby explores the world through their mouths

Drooling is also not a sign of teething, it's a digestive milestone.

Most experts will tell you being fussy is also not a sign of teething. I've found this to be true to a degree as well (3 kids).

At 2 weeks baby is going through a mental and physical growth spurt. The entire first year is full of these. Don't ever get comfortable in a routine before 1 year. Do your bedtime rituals and expect normal naps etc... but also expect a lot of variation. Also be proactive about sleep, not reactive.
