6 month old in a pool?

We will be going on vacation in May (to Wisconsin Dells) and my baby will be a week away from being 6 months, I called to make an appointment and asked them if she needed a pre check up and they said no she won't, but I did have questions for the doctor.

1) can my baby go in the water? Not in but with me. Will it affect her big time? Should I just avoid it?

2) Is there a mosquito repellent that anyone recommends specifically for a baby?

And any advice?

Your baby can go in chlorinated water as early as 4 mos. Just avoid dunking her too much because it could make her puke. Watch her temp too, babies get colder faster in pools than us. And avoid hot tubs until she is at least 6 years. 😊

My son was in the pool all summer last year and he was around 5/6 months, we just made sure to use sunscreen and had a float with a conopy over it so he didn't get burnt.
